Catherine Smithson, Director of Being Human, has 15 years’ experience in change management as a consultant, executive coach and educator.

She combines hands-on experience of change as a senior manager and a consultant with an in-depth understanding of change management theory, research and up-to-date methods.

Her communication style is down-to-earth, engaging and focussed on results.  She communicates successfully with people at all levels and functions in the organisation, from senior management to front line staff.

Catherine holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management in the University of NSW. She also holds a Master of Arts, a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education.

Her professional accreditations include: Prosci Change Management Process, DISC, Life Styles Inventory (LSI) and Group Styles Inventory (GSI), MBTI, Sydney University Professional Development Certificate in Coaching Practice and Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.

Catherine also teaches on Executive Development, MBA and Change Management Programs at major universities nationally.

Bridget Armstrong - Senior Consultant

Bridget Amstrong

Bridget is a facilitator, trainer and coach with hands-on experience of change as a senior manager in both public and private sectors.

She has specialist experience in communicating change through her background in corporate communications and consulting with a number of international organisations.

Bridget has spent the majority of her career developing communications, change and leadership programs for technical specialists in IT, engineering and telecommunications.

She has successfully partnered with organisations including engineering (Bilfinger Berger Services), consulting (Edelman Public Relations and Positive Outcomes), IT/telecommunications (Vodafone and Siemens), not for profit (United Nations Development Fund for Women, St Vincent’s De Paul, Sydney Symphony and Historic Houses Trust). Bridget is certified in the Prosci Change Management Process, is a qualified Executive Coach and is a graduate of the highly regarded Sydney Leadership Program presented by the Benevolent Society NSW. Bridget has worked in Singapore, Germany and has studied at the Indian Institute of Management. She has a Master in Arts from University of Technology, a Bachelor of Music from the University of Sydney and she lectures in public relations, communications and marketing for APM College of Business and Communication.

Matt Stewart - Client Service & Program Manager

Matt StewartMatt joined Being Human in 2007 as Client Service & Program Manager. His role includes client liaison, the on-line Bookstore, as well as marketing and managing Being Human’s Change-Ability Program Powered by Prosci.

Matt has a wealth of management and marketing expertise gained from his 20 years’ experience as an actor, theatre director, playwright and senior manager in arts organisations.

As co-founder and General Manager of the innovative Darlinghurst Theatre in Sydney until 2004, Matt gained first hand experience of leading people through change and inspiring teams to work towards a common vision. Matt also oversaw the expansion of the "Messengers Program" in Canberra for depressed and socially isolated teenagers with great success, then in 2006 he formed his own company "Act Corporate", specialising in delivering drama related training to the corporate and public sectors.

Matt has also achieved an Honours Award in the John Lennon Song Writing Contest and the American Internet Children’s Award for the best album for 3-5 year olds.
