Catherine Smithson - Managing Director

Catherine Smithson is a leading facilitator, educator and consultant in change and leadership.

She has 20 years’ experience as a senior manager and a consultant and has an in-depth understanding of best practices worldwide.

Catherine has a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management in the University of NSW. She also has a Master of Arts, a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education.

Her professional accreditations include: Prosci® Change Management Process, Emotional Competence Inventory, DISC, LifeStyles Inventory, GroupStyles Inventory, Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Sydney University Professional Development Certificate in Coaching Practice. Vicky Emery - Senior Consultant

In her 20-year career, Vicky has successfully worked with leading organisations in professional services, banking and finance, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, retail and insurance.

Her expertise includes leadership, change and team development programs,  executive coaching, facilitation and consulting.

Matt Stewart – Senior Consultant

Matt is a Senior Consultant with Being Human, specialising in Communications Skills training.
 
His career as an actor and a leader of performing arts organisations spans 20 years. He is well known for being a driving force behind the establishment of Darlinghurst Theatre Company and Darlo Drama acting school for adults since 1991.  He recently appeared as Benedick in “Much Ado About Nothing” for the Sydney Shakespeare Festival, and in “Bouncers” for Insomniac Theatre in Balmain.

Matt has also built a reputation as an outstanding facilitator and coach in communications skills for non-actors and has presented a wide range of programs to managers, professionals and team members across all industry sectors.  His supportive coaching style and unique brand of laid-back humour,  encourages everyone to get involved.

He has also successfully designed and delivered acting programs for young people and in 2004 – 5 was instrumental in the expansion of the award winning Canberra based Messengers Program for depressed and socially isolated young people.
 
Matt’s facilitation is enriched by his amazing range of jobs including: tennis coach, taxi driver, Dive Master, Blood Bank Courier, barman, waiter, hotel porter, private detective and potato picker.
 

Ken Permana – Business and IT Manager

Ken´s role in Being Human includes website administration, IT support and accounting. He has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from University of Technology, Sydney.

Bali Kaur – Client Service Consultant

Bali has a background in  HR, Training & Development, Consulting and Recruitment.   Bali has eight years HR experience,  four of which were spent working for a large retail organisation in the UK. She then worked as a HR consultant working for leading organisations in all sectors whereby she became involved in change initiatives.
